FAQ

How does CBD work?

CBD works by stimulating the Endocannabinoid System (regulates functions such as sleep, immune-system responses, and pain), which in turn can help with pain relief, muscle fatigue, anxiety, stomach problems, skin conditions and much more. The body naturally produces compounds very similar to CBD, cannabinoids are even found in breast milk, they bind to receptors and activate them, which can result in many positive effects for serious health conditions and overall health.

Is CBD legal?

In the United Kingdom, while cannabis comes under the Misuse of Drugs 1971 and is controlled under the Act, CBD is considered an exception. All other cannabinoids in cannabis are controlled by this Act but CBD is the only exception, given that it does not have a psychoactive element. CBD oil is legal in the UK as long as there is less than 0.2% THC.

Will CBD get you high?

CBD will not get you high. The belief that CBD products get you high is based on the fact that CBD comes from the cannabis and hemp plants. The compound THC which is psychoactive creates a feeling of euphoria and intoxication associated with being high.

CBD, on the other hand, is non-psychoactive and does not have the same effects as THC.

How is CBD oil made?

CBD oil is typically made using hemp plants. Hemp is a variety of the cannabis plants that are bred so that the THC content in the plant is less than 0.2%. This is what makes it legal for CBD oil to be sold in most parts of the world. The CBD is typically extracted by using high quality co2 processing, stripping the plant whilst retaining all vital matter as if it was still in the plant. The CBD extract is then diluted using a carrier oil like Hemp Seed or MCT oil.

Full Spectrum, Broad Spectrum & CBD Isolate

What is the difference between Full Spectrum, Broad Spectrum and CBD Isolate?

Full Spectrum is a full-plant extract, meaning it contains all cannabinoids, terpenes and other essential compounds found in the plant including THC.

Broad Spectrum is a full-plant extract, meaning it contains all cannabinoids, terpenes and other essential compounds found in the plant but with the THC,  completely stripped.

CBD Isolate is an isolated extract. Completely stripped of all properties to leave an almost pure CBD isolate.

Full Spectrum & Broad Spectrum CBD users will benefit from the entourage effect. The entourage effect happens when CBD is ingested with other phyto cannabinoids, terpenes and compounds from the cannabis plant - working together to produce a more effective result.

By using the whole hemp plant rather than a singular aspect, there's a boost in the health benefits and overall therapeutic effect.

CBD isolate or pure CBD as some companies label it - doesn't produce this effect.
